Manual

The "Dragon PolyA Spotter" is a tool to predict the following polyadenylation signals variants in primary human genomic sequences.

The Dragon PolyA Spotter displays predicted polyA signal variants and their positions in each submitted fasta sequence.

Step 1.
Provide the DNA sequence(s) to the system. You may upload the file with sequences in fasta format. Alternatively you can paste fasta formatted sequences in the text area provided on the sequence submission page. In case you submit sequences via file upload and textbox simultaneously, only sequences in the uploaded file will be processed. The Dragon PolyA Spotter may only determine potential PolyA signals having at least 100 nucleotides upstream and 100 nucleotides downstream from the 5'end and the 3'end of the PolyA motif, respectively. Sequences shorter than this will be ignored.

Step 2.
Now select the type of poly(A) motif you want to search for. You can select all motifs (click on the field left to the motif list), or select a specific subset of motifs.

Step 3.
Click the Submit button. After the classification is finished a link for downloading the results in a text file will be made available.

The figure below shows an example of a results screen.

To clear the input, click the "Reset" button.
